Steve DeAngelo
Steve DeAngelo a true American hero. A longtime​ activist and modern-day advocate for the reform of marijuana laws. Steve co-founded Harborside Health and Wellness in Oakland California in 2006. A non-profit medical cannabis dispensary.
Harborside was one of the first six dispensaries in
the US to be granted a medical cannabis license.
Steve wanted to provide safe and affordable access to cannabis for anyone who needed it. Today Harborside has more than 300,000. registered medical cannabis patients.
Steve DeAngelo also co-founded several other companies starting with.

Steep Hill Laboratory founded in 2007. It was the first commercial medical cannabis testing lab to open in this country.

The Arc View Group was founded in 2010 and is the first cannabis investment firm. Steve believed
that legal cannabis businesses would ultimately become the biggest contributor in ending cannabis prohibition.​
​
The National Cannabis Industry Assocation was
founded in 2010 after the release of the Ogden memo by the justice department, which directed
prosecutors not to prioritize the use of federal resources to prosecute patients with serious illnesses or their caregivers.
​
Steve also is an author of a book called The Cannabis Manifesto: A new Paradigm for wellness was published in 2015 by North Atlantic books.
